The aim of the Society
is to accumulate, develop, and apply new knowledge in the field of pharmacy and related specializations and utilize them in health care.
The Czech Pharmaceutical Society organizes professional meetings to disseminate up-to-date knowledge and results and thus facilitates lifelong learning in the pharmaceutical field.
The Czech Pharmaceutical Society works within the framework of the Czech Medical Association of J. E. Purkyně.
The Czech Medical Association, of which the Czech Pharmaceutical Society is a member, includes more than 34 thousand professionals and is associated with 102 medical societies.
In the period of 1996 – 2005, the number of members of the Society has been on the increase. Most of them are pharmacy staff members and there are also professionals from the fields of pharmaceutical research and education. The society accepts new members from young pharmacists and a high number of pharmaceutical assistants.
Within the framework of our membership in the Czech Medical Association, we make use of administrative and economic services, mainly in the financial control of CPS meetings, membership fee, and member evidence.
The Czech Medical Association financially maintains our membership in international organizations - FIP, EUFEPS and EAHP.
The publishing and printing centre of the Czech Medical Association secures and publishes the pharmaceutical journal Česká a slovenská farmacie (Czech and Slovak Pharmacy) and a number of other journals of the individual medical specializations.
The Secretariat of the Czech Medical Association provides some services concerning international contacts. We make use of the congress centre of the Czech Medical Association and also the halls in the Medical House in Prague are at our disposal.
Delegated members of the CPS elect the Presidium, approve the regulations and comment on the activities of the Czech Medical Association. Detailed information is disseminated by the journal Česká a slovenská farmacie (Czech and Slovak Pharmacy).
