About the Section
The section is the professional base of the CPS in the fields of ethno-botany, ethno-pharmacology, pharmaco-botany, pharmacognosy, phyto-therapy, and phyto-toxicology, phyto-drugs and their pharmaco-economy, nutraceutics, phyto-cosmetics and the legislation related to these fields.
The long history of the section includes a large number of successful meetings including some international ones. It has always been one of the biggest sections of the CPS as regards the number of members.
Nowadays it consists of more than 250 pharmacists, physicians and even agricultural engineers and natural scientists (chemists and biochemists) specializing in the field of natural drugs.
